DETAILS
ALG Worldwide was contacted by a premier Chocolatier for an emergency shipment of their chocolate wafers.  These wafers were at their production facility in Fairfield, CA and would not be ready for pick-up until late in the afternoon.  They need to be Delivered to Fort Myers, FL. by 9:00am the second day.  ALG’s driver arrived late afternoon as requested by the warehouse, confirmed the boxes were packaged with gel packs inside of each box to keep the chocolate cold but not frozen.  ALG’s driver drove directly to the airport to make the planned flight.  Due to COVID-19  restricted flight schedules, the flight was not operating and there were no more direct flights, so ALG’s Expert problem solvers rerouted the shipment to an alternative airport in Tampa, FL.  ALG then made arrangements with the airline to have the boxes staged in the airline’s cooler until the scheduled flight was ready to be loaded.  This would assure that the chocolate was not in danger of melting.  ALG’s control tower confirmed the shipment travelled as planned on each leg of the journey as well as planned for the boxes to be immediately placed in a cooler at the destination airport in Tampa Bay, FL as soon as it arrived.  Hours later ALG’s driver picked-up the shipment from the airline and drove the final 127 miles to Fort Myers the location of the exclusive confectionary company so they could begin turning the chocolate wafers into tokens of Love for Valentine’s Day 😊

Challenge Met.
