DETAILS
ALG Worldwides Sales team reached out to our International Expert Problem solvers. They had a first-time shipper that was in a crisis. The shipper had loaded an ocean container with electronic equipment to be placed in their inventory, bound for the United States. Due to congestion at the Ports in China, the container that should have arrived at the beginning of March had never been loaded on ship for transport. This shipper then received a significant order for items that they should have had on hand. They did not want to lose the sale so they made arrangements to have more of the electronics shipped from China. They have always received their items via ocean transport and because time was now critical, they had no one to assist them.

Our International Expert Problems solvers were able to secure a booking with an Airline for the entire 10,532 lb. shipment. They made sure that all import documentation was in order and began the process of clearing the freight through customs so that it could be delivered as soon as possible. The flight departed on Friday morning, the ALG Worldwide Control Tower verified it was on board and had arrived in Chicago. Our International Expert Problem Solvers were making sure that the freight was clearing customs so there would be nothing to hold up delivery. Once they confirmed the freight was cleared, an ALG Worldwide driver was scheduled to pick up the freight. ALG Worldwide driver was on hand at the Airport at 0600 on Monday morning to recover the shipment and deliver it directly to our new client at 0700. Everything was received in good order. Our new client was relieved, they were able to meet their time commitment to their customer and retain the sale.

Challenge Met.
